Open Air - Guided Tours with Marina Nabais and Ricardo Machado

The Open Sky - Guided Tours activity, taking place between July and August 2022, is a visit to the historical and artistic heritage of Mina de S. Domingos.

Between 8am and 9.30am, we invite the most curious to visit the ruins of the Mine of S. Domingos and the public interventions of MALACATE.

To this end, we have the privileged point of view of a local ambassador and/or an artist, who, together with the MALACATE team, will tell us about their interpretation and memory of the space and artistic interventions.

The route will be defined by the location of the various works of art developed until July 2022, in the activities Visões (Sónia Godinho - photography), O Ninho (Lise Wulff - sculpture) and I Was Here, I'll Be Here (Pøbel and Tamara Alves - public art) and certainly the old Oficinas area, Malacate, Corta, Poços, Pago Velho, Tapada Grande and Jardim dos Ingleses, among others. The route is designed to be covered on foot, accessible to people with mobility problems or in a wheelchair, and will comply with all the safety standards required by the Municipality of Mértola.
