Theater - this is a word that commands respect. But actually when we are on stage everything is very different. Miguel Maia, together with the artistic team responsible for the show “Caixa de Questions”, will run a theater workshop open to all people who live in Mina de S. Domingos and in the rest of Mértola, and who have stories to tell or willingness to hear the stories of others.
Theater is nothing more than a game - a game with rules that change with the times, but essentially with our wishes. It's the game of facing each other and telling stories - which can be ours or others'. From other times and places or from our times and our places. With this theater workshop we will have the opportunity to see how just our body standing up, in front of an audience, already tells a story. So if we move it and say a few words who knows what will happen? The stage is the limit.
Theater Workshop: February 18th and 19th at Cineteatro
Artistic Residency: from February 13th to May 22nd
