The Utopian Workshop promoted "These still lush gardens" at S.Domingos Mine

On the 25th of March, on a beautiful spring afternoon, the Jardim dos Ingleses, next to the bandstand, hosted yet another Utopian Workshop, this time to imagine through a large white fabric new shapes and colors for the lush gardens of this place full of stories, with the help of guest artist Daniel Cardeira.

Daniel Cardeira is an artist and art historian. Born in 1992, he grew up between the villages of Corte do Pinto and Mina de São Domingos. In 2015 he graduated in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and in 2020 he completed a master's degree in History of Art, Heritage and Visual Culture from the University of Letters of the Faculty of Porto.

Her field of work crosses drawing, painting, photography, installation and performance. His artistic research focuses mainly on the body's relationship with the cultural and natural landscape.

As a plastic artist, he has exhibited in recent years in Lisbon, Faro, Mértola, Porto and São Paulo. He currently promotes, together with the community, various artistic expression and drawing activities.

It was an afternoon well spent with intergenerational participation through the imagined painting of a lush new garden. A garden that predicts the future, magical and inclusive.

Thank you to everyone who was with us at this celebration!
