The activity A Céu Aberto - Guided Tours, taking place between July and August 2022, is a visit to the historical and artistic heritage of Mina de S. Domingos.
Between 8 am and 9:30 am, we invite the most curious to visit the ruins of Mina de S. Domingos and the public interventions of MALACATE.
To this end, we rely on the privileged point of view of a local ambassador and/or an artist, who together with the MALACATE team will tell us about their interpretation and memory of the space and artistic interventions.
The route will be defined by the location of the various works of art developed until July 2022, in the activities Visões (Sónia Godinho - photography), O Ninho (Lise Wulff - sculpture) and I Was Here, I'll Be Here (Pøbel and Tamara Alves - public art) and certainly around the old Oficinas area, Malacate, Corta, Poços, Pago Velho, Tapada Grande and Jardim dos Ingleses, among others. The route is designed to be covered on foot, accessible to people with mobility problems or in wheelchairs, and will comply with all the safety standards required by the Mértola City Council.
